What does BHEA stand for?
BHEA stands for Bridge to Healthcare Elevation in Africa. We are a nonprofit organization focused on improving healthcare standards in underserved regions by providing equipment, training, and maternal care support.
How are donations used?
100% of donations go toward our core mission: procuring and delivering life-saving medical equipment, funding training for healthcare workers, and supporting maternal and neonatal care programs in underserved areas.
Where do you currently operate?
We are launching our first mission in Ghana, where we’ll assess healthcare facility needs, deliver medical equipment, and train CSSD and maternal health workers.
Can I volunteer even if I’m not in the medical field?
Absolutely. We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds — logistics, fundraising, communications, legal, research, tech, or simply a willingness to serve. Everyone has something to give.
Is BHEA a registered nonprofit?
Yes. BHEA Foundation is registered in the state of Illinois and has applied for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status with the IRS. All donations will be tax-deductible retroactively once that status is approved.
